Co-op Congress will be hosted by successful community shares event space

29th Apr 2016

Congress is the co-operative sector’s annual conference, hosted by Co-operatives UK. A day when members and directors, activists and CEOs from co-operatives large and small come together. This year it is on 17th and 18th June 2016 and will be hosted by Unity Hall, Wakefield, which is a community shares success story.

This year delegates will be putting forward proposals towards a co-operative development strategy that will help people take control of things that matter to them – where they live, where they work, where they shop. Visit the minisite here to find out more below and book your place!

Alongside setting out their aspirations and actions, Congress delegates will benefit from:

  • Great speakers on co-operative excellence and innovation, including Michael Simon of the Turner Prize Winning Granby Four Streets
  • Advice surgery offering support for co-ops large and small
  • Dragons' Den style pitches for co-operative business ventures
  • Networking sessions with other co-ops in your sector
  • The Co-operative Awards and dinner
  • A host of fringe activities and events, including Co-operatives UK's AGM
  • A major conference in an iconic co-operative venue
